GWM’s NEW P SERIES BAKKIE IS COMING TO SOUTH AFRICA!

The new pickup was launched 18 months ago at the Auto Shangai show with great success.

With the GWM logo only visible on the tailgate, the new badging on the grill in the shape of a ‘P’ is inspired by power of heaven and earth. The super symbol ‘P” has three core implications. Power, Peak and Perfection.

Officially the name of the new pickup was announced as POER (pronounced as power), In South Africa it will be known as the GWM P Series bakkie.

The P Series offers space, comfort, performance, safety, technology and reliability. With increased interior and exterior dimensions the all new 2,0 TD engine is fitted with Variable Vortex Intake Manifold for more torque and power. The bin offers a hidden step ladder in the tailgate making loading and unloading effortless.

With modern technology, the windows and windscreen features 98% ultraviolet filtration. The cabin features crafted and wrapped full leather interiors. The P Series offers personalized intelligent interconnectivity, voice-controlled entertainment, self-adaptive cruise control and smart cruise control support, multi-function seats, rear self-tensioning seatbelts in the double cab.

The P series is packed with safety features such as, Lane-keeping assistance, Traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, front armoured double layer steel beams for strength and rigidity, front and rear PDC with rear camera on double cab derivatives, and up to 7 airbags.
