The Chinese translation for Jolion is First Love – we are confident that this vehicle will become many enthusiasts’ First Love.

The Jolion is Haval’s new C-class segment offering, powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine developing 105Kw and 210NM of torque. Power is delivered through the front wheels either via a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox.

The Jolion has a spacious cabin and 337 liters of boot space, with the 64/40 split rear seats folded flat this becomes a cavernous 1113 liters. The wheelbase on the Jolion is 2,7m allowing for a reasonable amount of leg and knee room.

The Jolion is a stunning vehicle with beautiful lines indicative of the influence of design director, Phil Simmons who has a proven track record with major luxury brands. It has tidy proportions with interesting details such as LED headlights featuring split design daytime running lights. The taillights have a distinctive C-shape LED design as well. It’s been a full year since the Coronavirus pandemic gripped the country and its safe to say that the fatigue of not being able to go about our daily lives the way were use has long set in. The lack of human contact has undoubtedly hurt the way dealerships are used to doing brand awareness. It is therefore imperative we use strategy to create brand awareness and find any avenue that will bring people back to our dealership.

CMH Haval Little Falls Festival of Golf display

The Randpark Festival of Golf presented a unique opportunity for us to create the awareness we have bene looking for. This festival had over 2000 people participate in one way or another. The club itself has been open for 80 years and it has a loyal following of members. We sponsored the event for the duration of the festival.

To make the event more exciting Haval ran a competition on the 25th and the 26th of February 2021 where you could win a Haval H1 if you got a hole-in-one. Unfortunately, nobody drove away in the vehicle. We did have 2 players come close. One player was a mere 80m away from the hole.

We also had the P-Series single cab and double on display between the halfway house and the Firethorn golf course. The P-series has been quite an exciting addition by GWM with key features such Lane support system, Lane departure warning, Blind spot warning system, 360-degree camera and a Reverse camera.

In addition to the P-series we had the Haval H6 C which has been on the market for quite some time now. Haval has a R30 000 trade assistance deal running on this vehicle for the duration of the first quarter of 2021. New GWM P-Series

The Long Awaited GWM P-Series which was due before the National Lockdown, made its appearance on the SA market during December 2020. CMH Haval Silver Lakes grabbed the opportunity and arranged a proper launch for the P-series. The big evening was held on 15 December 2020 with potential customers who could not stop talking about all the features at a very competitive price. The Long Awaited GWM P-Series Mr Jay Jay Botes, National Sales Manager of Haval Motors South Africa also attended the evening, and in his address to the guests, he ensured them about the build quality and future of this vehicle and the brand. It was also noted that CMH Haval Silver Lakes were the first Dealer to launch the GWM P-Series to the public The guests could not wait for demonstrations, which started from the 16th of December 2020. This was an extremely long and busy day, as guests and the public queued to drive these next level vehicles. The Long Awaited GWM P-Series With a dedicated sales team, the opportunity was grabbed and Leandri Roodt claimed the first four successful sales of the P-series at CMH Haval Silver Lakes, as soon as the first retail stock arrived in early January. Great was our excitement when the first GWM P-series was delivered within a few days of arriving. It’s been a little over a month since the initial launch of the P-Series and the excitement is still growing. The P-series is GWM’s latest offering to the bakkie market which is fiercely contested. It has the looks, features and its pricing is undoubtedly going to appeal to many South Africans But just how good is the P-series? To answer, we turned to veteran motoring TV and Radio presenter to answer some of our questions. 1.) Now that you have seen the P-Series, what was your first impression? First impressions. I like the size of the vehicle, commanding presence and is a good-looking vehicle…but there again it’s a personal choice. 2.) Given your experience with all thing’s vehicles, do you think the P-Series is serious competitor in bakkie market in SA? Is it a serious competitor??? We need to remember that the South African bakkie driver is very brand loyal, so for the P series to be competitive it has to offer a whole lot more at a very affordable price. I am happy to say that it comes pretty close with all its features. It is priced to sell. As a work horse bakkie we need to see the numbers increase on the road. 3.) What did you think of the features and ride of the P-Series? It is a great ride on the road, and I will not comment on its off-road capabilities as I did not try it under those conditions. 4.) Is there anything that you could say GWM could improve on with the P-Series? Very disappointed with its power plant. Quite slow on pull away. Needs a bigger and more powerful engine. 5.)
